Beth Powell and I have been painting together the last few weeks, and her oldest son started telling us that he really wanted to paint too. Well, all the other kids chimed in, "me too!!!!" of course! So, we planned a family painting night and pulled out all kinds of canvas, paints, tools... and transformed the kitchen into a studio. Beth brought wonderful soup and chili, so we ate dinner together first, and then went for it! We had a blast, and even the youngest (in the backpack), did a watercolor of his own.
This weekend, I did some research on how to recycle some of these plastic bags that I have been accumulating, so I can make some totes for moi, and for gifts and my Etsy shop. Here's a fun Etsy how-to on fusing plastic. Once the plastic is fused, I plan on sewing it together with my sewing machine, and then fusing the seams using the same iron method. This will give me bigger sheets to line my totes. I'll keep you posted on how they turn out.
