In our house, I can hardly keep the supplies coming fast enough with my kiddos. They are just oozing with all kinds of creative ideas, and if I don't give them ways to express it. I find my scarves cut into, or other creative disasters. Part of this WILL be curbed by getting organized, and establishing boundaries. This is an ongoing pursuit.
Today, all my creative energy is going into prepping meals, as this week is going to be very busy. This will help keep us on schedule, and to bed on time. Yay! Adriaan took the day off and is installing shelves in the paint room, so I can put everything away! I just can't wait to know where things are. I've spent a lot of time the last few weeks, searching boxes for this or that. I love this house (becoming home) more and more each day. As soon as the house is set up, I'll make sure and post pictures.
Elina has already been coloring this morning. I've filled up a whole big binder with drawings she's made since this summer. I plan on making image transfers of some of them for Christmas gifts. I've already put some of them in my collages. Amazing. Emma made two paintings this week, that we still need to photograph and put on her blog. She has been itching to paint, and I can't wait to have space carved out for her in the painting room. She needs that creative outlet, a lot!
I'm starting a Christmas wish list. First on my list is a subscription to this new magazine by Stampington, Create With Me. I'm going to start taking photos of creative times with my girlies. I plan to submit some of our times together to the magazine too. :-) Hope you're having a great start to your week.
