January, embracing the shift...

One of the things that I love about January, is that it's a wonderful month to reflect on where the shifts need to happen.  Every January, I clean my closets out, so I can see the clothes I treasure and pass on the clothes that don't suit me any more.  Two weeks ago, I was given clothes that two friends no longer want, and I am enjoying trying the new combinations of colors and textures.

Yesterday, I went to Historic Valley Junction, and am thrilled to say that I now own one of Renee Mak's incredible paintings. I've been inspired all morning.  I always love how artwork transforms a space, and her painting is definitely helping me re-envision my home.

I feel new lines and paintings brewing.  I've been loving Pinterest, as a gathering place for ideas...  I've kept inspiration notebooks for years with pictures from magazines, etc., but I'm sure loving this way of collecting such goodness.  I'm enjoying nesting, and embracing the shift - into all that this new year holds.
