| self portrait in vintage mirror with new clothing combos... |
Today, after I took Emma to school, I walked into my kitchen and smelled some food that had to go! I didn't know what it was, and so I did a quick scan and took out the fruit that had gone sour. When this happens, I know it's also time to do a deep clean. However, I also knew that I wanted to go through the rest of the clothes upstairs that have been donated to me. I wanted to sort... what am I keeping and what am I going to donate? I know that in order to do this well, I have to try things on. So, I tried on the things that caught my eye. New patterns, new colors, bright and cheery.
I came downstairs to greet more important things (+ two wonderful children) today. So, the groceries will come, the cleaning will come, the exercise will come... and instead of getting frustrated by what isn't yet - I will embrace each and every beautiful step! WITH GREAT JOY AT THAT!!!! I did order a workout video today. Hooray!

Ha,ha,ha, this reminds me of one of the first years of our marriage Angela.
Every time I walked into the storageroom I smelled something awfull but couldn't find the source.
After a few days it was unbearable to enter that room so I had to search every corner of it to solve this terrible smelling problem and yes, finally I discovered that I had left a few weeks before 1 kilo of spinach on top of a cupboard, I guess you can imagine the smell ...
Good luck with your cleaningplans ;- )))
Thanks for the laugh Corrie. Yes, I can imagine the spinach. My bad fruit was from an over ambitious orange purchase. I bought a big box of these amazing oranges, but my kids decided they hated the texture, and Adriaan isn't a fan either. So, it was me and a whole box of oranges. I gave oranges to every friend who came by, but at the end of the box, about five went sour, really sour. I think I've maxed out on oranges for a few weeks. ;-)
